Your Name Here
Matthew Wilder | Comedy, Feature, Guest in Attendance, Sci Fi
This film features some great acting performances, great characters, great scenes and some incredible weirdness but was lacking the cohesive plot necessary to make it a good movie. Based on Philip Dick's life it is about a sci-fi writer getting lost in his paranoid hallucinations. Another movie that I wanted to like more than I did and if it featured more focus on advancing the plot and less on creating weird scenes it would have been a really good movie.

Surveillance
Jennifer Lynch 2008 | Feature, Guest in Attendance, Thriller
A good thriller that I would probably would have enjoyed more if I wouldn't have guessed the plot twist early in the movie. It was shot well and what I enjoyed most was the use of familiar faces in far different roles than what the viewer is used to seeing them in. French Stewart and Cheri Oteria do impressive turns as a sociopathic cop and a soccer mom and Bill Pullman delivers a memorable turn as a FBI agent leading the investigation into a brutal roadside killing. It didn't stick with me afterwards like I wanted it to and it was lacking something that I cant quite put my finger on but it is a movie I am going to be on the lookout for to watch again later.

Some of an Equation
Burke Roberts 2007 | Guest In Attendance, Shorts
A solid but unspectacular short. Would have liked it more but the film relied too much on close shots of the characters and action and it made it difficult to get a viewing perspective.
