All of a sudden getting force fed and smacked around a little bit is torture? Boring, lame, overhyped, nowhere near as violent as it could have been (shotgun murders were cool) and heavy handed nonsense to close it out. It might have worked if there was any way the audience could identify with the girl being tortured - but we don't, so it's a little hard to invest any emotion into what is going on.

A surprisingly excellently written flick. Thought it worked much better as a thriller in the 1st half and then skirted dangerously close to standard creature-feature "where is the monster" territory and for that it dragged a bit in the final act. But otherwise an excellent surprise find at the festival. The director is one to keep an eye on!
