I saw this film back in May and loved it. It starts off like a bad genre film with overdone cameos from folks like Robert Englund and Tony Todd. Oh sure, they’re fun… but is this going anywhere?

The characters are hammy and very very tongue in cheek. Lots of nudity – some fine “Girls Gone Wild” in New Orleans like footage… And then you’re on a haunted swamp tour. EVERYONE – DON’T GO ON THE HAUNTED SWAMP TOUR IN NEW ORLEANS!

There is some hokum, then Victor Crowley appears and kills his first victim – from there, the movie accelerates to mach 10. This, along with SEVERENCE, ABOMINABLE and TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING, will be the most fun you horror fans will have this fest. It is a refreshing gore-filled titty fest, and this Victor Crowley played by Kane Hodder… he’d skull thrust Jason without looking twice. Crowley could be a great horror icon if folks give him a chance. Line up for this one. It is one helluva hoot!

The young cast of characters are just fun as hell. From best friends – Ben (Joel David Moore) and Marcus (Deon Richmond) to the Asian tour guide Shawn (Parry Shen) to the sleazy softcore porn producer/director Shapiro (Joel Murray) to the bevy of hot babes played by Tamara Feldman, Joleigh Fioreavanti and Mercedes McNab. I tell you – this is good old fashioned American Horror with multiple Fangoria cover shots and a pop song about Victor Crowley that I dig the hell out of! - Harry Knowles, (Ain’t It Cool News)
