Alamo creative director has been Austin's most vocal Michael Jackson fan for years. Last October, he led the charge to get 880 locals to gather at the Long Center to perform the Thriller dance in full zombie uniform, and when the word came down this summer that the King of Pop had met an untimely end, he immediately put together an MJ Tribute Sing-Along for midnight that night.
We'll always miss the Smooth Criminal, but the time for mourning is over. Join us at the first public sneak preview night at the Highball for the first of many, many dance parties that Henri's going to be throwing in the ballroom space. It'll be a little bit like an Alamo Sing-Along, incorporating pieces of music videos to go along with the music, but this time around we'll be able to play songs that have no real video (Yes! PYT!) and the videos we do play will all only be the danciest of the pop.
So get your moonwalking shoes on, practice grabbing your crotch, and let a great big "a hee hee!" then come over to the Highball and don't stop until you get enough.
