Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband. |

Not quite 4 stars, but here's a film that really captures the spirit of Halloween, with 4 interwoven tales of all kinds of ghoulish mayhem. Exquisitely well made (how about that fog!), this is a funny, spooky, and downright nasty bit of homage to 80s horror anthology. That the studio wouldn't release it is a further nail in the coffin, so to speak, of unique visions that don't fit a tried and true formula. What a shame. Rent this movie on DVD when it comes out October 6th. You won't be disappointed.
