Fantastic Fest 2009

On Sunday the 23rd, at about 6:30pm, we thought our screening experience at AFF was over. We'd had 2 great showings (nearly 150 packed the house on Sunday), lots of great audience reviews, and generally a feeling that people were digging our film. Now, it was time to relax and enjoy the rest of the festival as movie-goers.

But Monday morning we got a call saying the festival would like to fill a TBA slot on Thursday the 27th with "Severance". Did we want to take it? Heck yes!

So we're now back into full promotional mode. The festival has even lined us up a spot on the morning show at KLBJ 93.7 fm. Writer/Director Troy A. Miller and actor Todd Tatom will be on hand to talk up the movie with Bob and Dudley. It's at 7:20 am (YIKES!), but all you early birds out there should tune your dials appropriately.

And so, "Severance" will screen again THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27TH, at 7:00PM at the IMAX Theatre (18th and North Congress) in the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum. Come and check us out on the (very) big screen. And stick around afterwards for a Q&A, to cast a vote for the Audience Award, and to find out where a "Severance" post-screening gathering will occur.

The Austin-made feature "Severance" had its World Premiere last night at the Arbor, and we are pleased to report it was a resounding success. A large crowd was very engaged, laughed where we thought there'd be laughs (and surprised us in other places), and generally seemed like they were having a darn good time at the movies.

The crowd then shifted to Club Deville for a post screening party, where music that inspired "Severance" was played and revellers enjoyed much drink and conversation.

If you want to get in on the non-stop whirlwind of "Severance" frivolity, don't miss our matinee screening this Sunday, 4:30pm, at the Arbor. It's the most fun you'll have in black and white at the festival.
